Here is the step by step process for creating a testimonial/review post on Canva. 1. Find several testimonials or reviews 2. Go to CANVA 🎨Click on create a design 🎨Pick the post size you want PRO TIP: (Below I used the custom size of 600 x 400px, it shows up well on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In, that way I don't have to resize the graphic.) If you are just posting on Instagram & Facebook I recommend using the 'Instagram post' size. 🎨Click on Templates (in the left nav bar Search Testimonial, Testimonials, Review, Reviews until you find a post you like, click on the post you like. 🎨Switch out the text for your review PRO TIP: If the review is long, just use an excerpt of it the graphic and then use the whole review with a thank you in post. ROCK STAR BEHAVIOUR: Switch out the colours, add your logo or a picture. Content batching?: Come on, you're on a role, why not create a few more posts and schedule them over the next few weeks? You're not done yet. You should either post your graphic with a blurb right now or schedule it. I've scheduled post using the Canva scheduler. There's no point going to all this trouble and then not scheduling the post, right? If I've lost you along the way & you need a little help, you know where to find me.

#️⃣Why use hashtags?
This is one way people can find you in a search. That also means it's a way spammers and bots can find you, but there's not much you can do about that. #️⃣Which tags should you use? Think about what people would use to search your business. Location: #Toronto #GTA #Ontario #Etobicoke Business: #RealEstate #Restaurant #Yoga #Artist Specifics to your business: #NewListing #Vegan #OnlineClasses #InpersonClasses Client Specific: #FirstTimeBuyer #KidFriendly #Ashtanga Post specific: #blog #Tips #Testimonial #review PRO TIP: Do a test search of other similar businesses and see what they're using. #️⃣How many hashtags should I use? The general consensus seems to be 20 hashtags/post is the magic number. I don't see any reason to argue with that or waste any time researching it so let's go with that. PRO TIP: The secret is to use post specific tags. If you are referencing a blog #Blog or more specifically #RestaurantBlog #RestaurantBlogger #RestaurantBloggers ADDED to your standard tags. For example if you work in the Toronto area why not add #GTA #Etobicoke #BloorWestVillage #Oakville, see if it has any impact... It takes a bit more time but I think it's worth it. #️⃣Which sites should you use the hashtag? Definitely Instagram and I would also say they can really help with finding specific conversations on Twitter. I add hashtags to Linked In posts but I'm not sure it's worth it. I think they are redundant on Facebook but if you are posting on Instagram and then sharing it directly to Facebook, no one is going to be offended by it. #️⃣Where do I put the hashtags? They go at the end of the post, after a link (if you're using them on anything other than Instagram) |
