Creating a blog post on weebly

Write your blog

Once you've written your blog, if you need help with that check out my blog Blogging For Beginners. I would then suggest copying and pasting it to a text editor. That will remove any formatting and eliminate some headaches along the way. I also suggest that when you are adding content to the blog, if you are using images, add them in separate blocks, rather than trying to add images to text boxes. I write my blogs in Google Docs, they have decent spell & grammar checks and word counts. Once the blog is written, you are ready to post.

Posting the blog on the site

Sign into Weebly.com You'll need a username and a password here.

Steps two & three

​IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER click on Edit Site (not the 'edit site' on the left side of the page under OVERVIEW)
Click on Pages (across the top of the page)

Steps three & four

​Click on BLOG (in navigational column on left side of page)
Click on NEW POST (bottom right corner of page)

Step six

​Click on POST TITLE… 
Add your title here

BODY of the post. Add a TITLE, TEXT or IMAGES by dragging them over to the page & populating them with images & blog post.

​POST OPTIONS, the blue button in the bottom left corner.
There is a Secret Draft Link at the bottom, you can get a bit of an idea of what the post will look like from this. It’s not great though. 
Here you have options to schedule the post, whether or not you want to allow comments and if you want to add categories for easier searches.

Finishing it off

​Finally, click on POST (button at the top right corner) and then Publish and you should be good to go.

Check your blog on both your phone and your desktop to make sure that it showing up nicely and make any adjustments if needed.
