I believe that a website is an important part of a small business’s offering. I also think that it should be affordable and easy to maintain. I like to work closely with my clients to make sure that the website we create is not only everything they want but everything they need.
Website platforms have really improved over the last 10 years or so and I honestly believe that unless you need a highly customized website, using a website builder is the route to go. I have the most experience with Weebly so that is the platform I recommend to my clients, although I’m happy to work with another company if you prefer. The professional plan is affordable and gives you the opportunity to use your own domain name, an SSL certificate is also included and there are options for personalized emails through G Suite. They have e-commerce options as well. Once you’ve created a website using Weebly you should be able to maintain it without any outside help.
