![]() It’s a really good idea to regularly audit your website and all your social media profiles. I suggest you do it every six months or so. If you have a marketing budget, I would include this as one of things on your to-do list. I would start by going through your website to make sure everything is up to date. Try and answer these questions. 1. Does it describe your business the way it is now, rather than when you created the website? 2. Is everything you are offering now represented on the site? 3. Check hours of operation, menus, event calendars… Anything that may have changed in the last little while, to make sure the information is accurate. 4. Are there any pages you should be getting rid of or adding? Give it some thought. Now that your site best represents what you are offering, you can go in a little deeper. ✔️Check for spelling errors and gramatical errors. Often you’ll see something you missed the first time. ✔️CHECK EVERY SINGLE LINK. Whether it’s backlinks or links to other pages on your site or links to your social media channels. You are really rocking this… ✔️Click on EACH item in your menu to confirm that it’s linking to the correct page. ✔️Check EVERY link in the header and the footer of the site. ✔️Make sure your contact information is UP TO DATE. Your phone number, email address, social media channels… ✔️Fill out any forms on your site to make sure they are working properly. Now you’re just showing off… ✔️Update any images. ✔️Add alt-text to all the photos you have on your site. You did it, your site is up to date! If this sounds like more than you have the time or inclination to tackle I highly recommend you hire someone to do it for you. Someone like me!
