Social media isn’t like traditional marketing. The old school practice of throwing the same thing at a customer over and over again until they bite doesn’t work on social media. Your page will actually stop showing up in your followers feeds if you play that game too much.
In order to keep the almighty algorithm happy you need to be really careful how much of your content is actually marketing material, remember you should always be aiming for an 80/20 content ratio. That’s 80% 'interesting to your followers' to 20% 'marketing material'. Here are some ideas that you can try to get your message out there without offending the Almighty Algorithm Gods. 💡excerpts from your blog 💡quotes that relate to your business 💡special day of… You may have noticed that trend already 💡Birthdays or anniversaries 💡support local businesses: as far as I’m concerned this one is win/win/win 💡review a book, tv show, movie or podcast that relates to your business 💡share a favourite song 💡recognize a day of the week 💡countdown to something 💡testimonials Social media is all about being SOCIAL. You want to showcase who you are, what you stand for and your expertise and when you do that, your page will show up more in your customers' feeds and give you the opportunity to showcase what you are selling.
